Young minds are eager to learn more about wetlands. Designed to help educate young people—tomorrow’s conservation leaders—about wetlands, conservation and what they can do to help, here are a few tools that will make learning fun for students of all ages whether in the classroom, on a field trip to a local wetland or at home.
Curriculum-based resources
Wetlands are included in the grade 4 and grade 5 Alberta science curriculum. Designed in consultation with educators, the following resources offer a wealth of wetland information to assist teachers and students alike.
Project Webfoot – Ducks Unlimited Canada’s wetland education program offering free lesson plans, action projects and much more.
